Multi Department MCI Drill
On Sunday October 29th SQFD teamed up Queensbury Central Fire, West Glens Falls Fire, Kingsbury Fire, Cambridge EMS, West Glens Falls EMS and Queensbury EMS in a Mass Causality Incident (MCI) Drill over at our fire house.
This drill encompassed several different scenarios that we may see during a natural disaster type event. Scenarios included were a vehicle fire, bus rollover, car into a camper with entrapment, car accident with entrapment, tree fallen on a pedestrian and a victim thrown into the woods with injuries. Command for each department were assigned to junior officers to teach them the value of resource management, communications and all of the appropriate steps that need to be taken during a MCI.
We thank all of the people who volunteered to be victim's in this incident and representatives from Warren County OES Ashley Rivers, Jack Timms and Jeff Dailey and our own Kenny Topping III for making this drill a success.
Trunk or Treat and Haunted Drive Thru
On Saturday October 28th SQFD hosted our annual Trunk or Treat here at the station inviting neighboring Fire and Ems departments to come and join us pass out treats. We loved seeing everyone's costumes and hope to see everyone again next year!
Thank you to West Glens Falls Fire, Queensbury Central Fire, South Glens Falls Fire, Fort Ann Fire, Fort Edward EMS and Queensbury EMS for coming out and joining us!
